Vito

We absolutely adore Vito, but he is a challenge! He not only has IVDD and is paralyzed, he also has severe anxiety/Pica and needs to remain medicated. He currently takes trazodone, fluoxetine and gabapentin daily, but still requires extensive supervision when out. He will eat anything that touches the ground, including but not limited too; socks, paper towels, shoes, diapers, clothes, pillows, blankets and basically anything that is not supposed to enter his body. He is diapered when out, but does not need his bladder expressed. If he’s left alone too long, he will eat his own diaper just because. It’s best he is kenneled with nothing on if you can’t have eyes on him.

We know this sounds like a lot, and it is. But he CAN be super sweet when he’s not terrorizing his entire house. He loves to snuggle and get belly rubs. He has a scream that will send you over the edge, but he just wants to be by your side 24/7. Deep down Vito is a good boy and deserves love. He was abused and neglected by his previous owner and when he became paralyzed they wanted nothing to do with him, and left him outside alone.

✔️Cat/Kid friendly (better with older children who won’t have toys left out for him to destroy).
♿️IVDD/Paralzyed but has wheels.
‼️Can only play with super tough chew toys, he will eat ropes, soft toys, plastic etc.
‼️Requires extra supervision and must be kenneled when nobody is home with him.
✔️Snuggle bug and certified clinger.
‼️Must be fed separately from other animals.
