Lola
Lola
Lola is a sweet senior who needs a safe place to land and learn some boundaries. Shes 8-9 years old but seems to act more like a 1 year old dog at times. We were actually shocked to learn how old she is at her vet appointment. ✔️She is everything friendly and submissive! Had 0 reaction when an evil little frenchie tried to attack her. ✔️Learning her kennel is a safe space and doing better. ✔️SO sweet and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. ✔️LOVES toys and chewing (needs options or she may chew on items she shouldn’t) Now the behavior related issues we need to continue working on: ‼️She must be kenneled when she isn’t supervised or is home alone. She gets intro trash cans when alone, chews on blankets, really anything within reach she’ll potentially chew on. We’re trying to work through this before considering anxiety medication since she does well supervised. ‼️Lola LOVES all humans but thinks it’s okay to jump and throw her body into you, jump all over you on couches etc. We need to keep teaching her manners and that it’s not acceptable. ‼️She is a neglected breeder, so being clingy and anxious is expected. We want her to learn she is safe, and has no need to feel she’ll be abandoned again. 🚫No large sets of stairs Lola has suffered a life of neglect, and been used strictly for breeding. Some behaviors also have led us to believe she maybe was physically abused. Her quirks and behavioral issues are all related to a lack of training, trust and human bonding. We want her to feel loved while also learning how to be the best dog she can be. Good news, her skin allergies have improved and she’s looking so much better! She’s escaped her horrible life and left behind breeding AND beat cancer, now let’s find her the home she’s always deserved!
